NYC Event – Living Art at DTR Gallery

This October, SoHo’s DTR Gallery transforms into a breathtaking tribute to resilience as seven mastectomy tattoo models become living art. Curated by Avalon Ashley Bellos, this one-of-a-kind exhibition showcases the fusion of fine art and personal triumph. Friday Jones’ intricate mastectomy tattoos take center stage, highlighting the power of ink as a form of healing and reclamation. Complementing the artistry, mastectomy fashion designer Ashley Plasse debuts couture pieces designed to honor and accentuate the beauty of post-mastectomy bodies. This immersive experience is a bold statement on survival, artistry, and the evolving narrative of beauty.

Limassol Event – Body as Canvas

Closing out October in Limassol, Cyprus, Living Their Breast Lives partners with Europa Donna to celebrate breast cancer survivors through the transformative medium of body painting. Internationally acclaimed artist Andreas Vrontis and Friday Jones collaborate to turn survivor models into living masterpieces, using feminine-inspired designs that embody strength, rebirth, and self-expression. This vibrant showcase blurs the line between art and identity, amplifying the voices of survivors while weaving their journeys into breathtaking, ephemeral works of art. Set against the backdrop of Limassol’s stunning Mediterranean shores, this event is a tribute to the unbreakable spirit of those who have fought—and flourished.

Sean Alimov – Director

A visionary connector with a global perspective, Sean Alimov brings his expertise in marketing and strategic partnerships to Living Their Breast Lives. As the Marketing Director of Match Liquidity, Sean has a deep understanding of high-level financial ecosystems, but his true passion lies in fostering innovative communities. With roots in Uzbekistan, a career spanning the UK and Cyprus, and a track record of elevating creative projects—including his work in the NFT space—Sean is the driving force behind securing funding and expanding the reach of this groundbreaking initiative. His leadership ensures that this celebration of survival, art, and empowerment resonates on an international scale.

Avalon Ashley Bellos – Curator & Host

An internationally recognized curator and art expert, Avalon Ashley Bellos brings her refined eye and deep industry knowledge to Living Their Breast Lives. As Executive Art Director at MetaGrade Corp and Executive Director of Media & Communications at DTR Modern Galleries, Avalon has built a career at the intersection of fine art, luxury, and investment. A former law student turned global art dealer, she has a talent for elevating groundbreaking work and making art accessible to new audiences. Having invited Friday Jones to showcase at DTR Modern, Avalon now leads the curation and art talks for Living Their Breast Lives, ensuring a powerful dialogue around survival, beauty, and self-expression at both the NYC and Limassol events.

Ashley Plasse – Fashion Designer

A summa cum laude graduate of the Fashion Institute of Technology, Ashley Plasse brings a deep passion for fashion design, specializing in special occasion wear, to Living Their Breast Lives. From learning to sew at age 8 under her grandmother's guidance to becoming a finalist in the FIT x Macy’s 2024 Capsule Collection, Ashley has steadily honed her craft. Her designs, which showcase intricate Bengali-inspired embroidery, reflect both high fashion and cultural craftsmanship, stemming from her family’s roots. Through internships with Theia Couture, Betsy and Adam, and House of Savin, Ashley will be using her talents to design couture mastectomy fashion that celebrates both beauty and empowerment for survivors.
